Neighborhood Little Lending Libraries

Neighborhood Little Lending Libraries

The Rotary Club of Walnut Creek is donating neighborhood lending libraries to the children of our community in order to help to increase literacy and to celebrate inclusion, equity and diversity. Our first launch of this project includes the building and installing of seven of these libraries, including stocking them with diverse children's books. We believe that by providing these books for children to read, we can help increase their empathy, understanding, acceptance, as well as help to support literacy as a lifestyle.

Two libraries have been successfully placed in our community, and we are currently building five more for a total of seven.

These libraries are hosted by community members throughout the city where local children will help decorate them!
