Lori Lynne Armstrong has been a scientist, a mother, a writer, a mental patient, and a drug addict. She holds master’s degrees in molecular biology and counseling psychology. Before her addiction and mental health issues required a change, she worked in the counseling field and acquired clinical expertise that is useful in understanding and describing the topics she addresses. She’s a writer of prose and poetry on the subjects of mental health and addiction, working to manage her conditions responsibly while trying to decrease shame and stigma for others who suffer. Her memoir, Someday I Will Not Be Ashamed, was published in 2023.
